Thomas Carroll, Jr. PT, MPT, CSCS
Tom with his business partner Alan has been the inspiration to create the overall
vision, progressive standards and caring atmosphere at Excel Physical Therapy.
He is a graduate of Ithaca College and Nova Southern University and has
extensive experience practicing in various out-patient settings throughout
Greene, Albany and Saratoga counties. Tom’s impressive credentials benefit his
patients daily with a special focus on advanced clinical training for orthopedic
problems, manual, sport and geriatric rehabilitation and he takes great pride in
maintaining his edge on the newest and best osteopathic techniques and
philosophy. Tom and Alan’s leadership has brought Excel Physical Therapy to
the forefront of advanced physical therapy services in the region.

Alan Palmer, PT, MSPT, CSCS
Alan joined his business partner Tom in the development and creation of the
Excel Physical Therapy vision. They decided to create a business that truly
cared for their patients and to offer the most progressive care available in the
industry. He is a graduate of Ithaca College and enjoys a broad spectrum of
experience throughout the capital region. His specialty areas include
osteopathic manual therapy, pediatrics, sport and cardiopulmonary
rehabilitation and geriatrics. Training and education on the newest techniques is
the cornerstone of Alan’s commitment to providing the absolute best services to
the patients of Excel Physical Therapy.

Diane Mickle, PT, DPT
Diane, a graduate of Russell Sage College and Albany Medical College School of
Physical Therapy, is well known and respected in the region as a physical
therapist delivering quality and progressive services for almost 30 years. Having
owned and operated her own physical therapy practice for nearly 20 years in
Catskill, Diane joined the Excel team to shift her focus away from the business of
physical therapy and more on the patient care. Diane, who in 2006 earned her
Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine
and Science in Chicago, has remained committed to continuing education and
training to blend the newest techniques with her vast hands-on experience.

Amanda Cocozzo, PT
While Amanda brings a strong orthopedic background to her position at Excel Physical Therapy, she also holds acute setting experience caring for patients with surgical and traumatic injuries, as well as neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, oncology and renal diagnoses. She has diverse experience in developing and implementing treatment plans for pediatric- through geriatric-aged clientele. Amanda believes in emphasizing therapeutic exercise to achieve desired results. She thrives on patient interaction and the various challenges associated with different diagnoses. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy with a minor in biology from Daemen College, Amherst, NY.

Cori Wase , PT, MSPT
Cori was born and raised in Greene County, and still calls our community home. She
embraced her extensive education in Physical Therapy from well respected Ithaca
College attending the fine institution of learning from 2003-2008. Cori received her
Bachelors of Science in 2007 and continued in 2008 gaining her Masters of Science
in Physical Therapy. Maintaining Excel Physical Therapy’s commitment to
excellence and the most progressive care in the region, Cori’s special PT skill focus is
in the areas of orthopedics, neurology, manual therapy, office ergonomics, and
osteopathic techniques. She enjoys an active and healthy lifestyle through running,
snowboarding, and hunting. Cori is committed to higher education and further
training. The Excel team is thrilled with her addition to their dynamic, well trained
and extremely qualified staff.

Lisa Salvino, PTA
Lisa has deep family roots in the Greene County community and adds a sincere hometown feel to Excel Physical Therapy. She is a graduate of Maria College in Albany, leaving one of the region’s finest educational institutions with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy. Lisa has extensive experience in her field working in a diverse mixture of settings including acute care, geriatrics, wound care and head injury facilities. Having worked in both private practice and public sector, she enjoys and chooses to provide her well respected care to the family of clients served by Excel Physical Therapy.
