Alan Palmer, MSPT, CSCS

Alan joined his business partner Tom in the development and creation of the Excel Physical Therapy vision.  They decided to create a business that truly cared for their patients and to offer the most progressive care available in the industry.  He is a graduate of Ithaca College and enjoys a broad spectrum of experience throughout the capital region.  His specialty areas include osteopathic manual therapy, pediatrics, sport and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and geriatrics.  Training and education on the newest techniques is the cornerstone of Alan’s commitment to providing the absolute best services to the patients of Excel Physical Therapy.

Tom Carroll, MPT, CSCS

Tom with his business partner Alan has been the inspiration to create the overall vision, progressive standards and caring atmosphere at Excel Physical Therapy.  He is a graduate of Ithaca College and Nova Southern University and has extensive experience practicing in various out-patient settings throughout Greene, Albany and Saratoga counties.  Tom’s impressive credentials benefit his patients daily with a special focus on advanced clinical training for orthopedic problems, manual, sport and geriatric rehabilitation and he takes great pride in maintaining his edge on the newest and best osteopathic techniques and philosophy.  Tom and Alan’s leadership has brought Excel Physical Therapy to the forefront of advanced physical therapy services in the region.

Joy Walton, PTA

Joy was raised in the Saratoga County and graduated from Herkimer County Community College with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy. Joy enjoys working with pediatrics and has over 10 years of experience working as a nanny and running different youth programs. Joy also enjoys working with orthopedics, neurological conditions, sports injuries, geriatrics and using manual therapy technics. Joy was inspired to pursue a career in physical therapy after seeing all the wonderful things physical therapy was able to do to improve her sister’s quality of life. It is a highly rewarding field to be a part of.

Lindon Alert, PT, DPT

Originally from Hudson, NY, Lindon earned his Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from the University at Albany and his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Marist College. Lindon was inspired to become a physical therapist after rehabbing various sports injuries of his own, which sparked his interest in helping others with their rehabilitation. With experience treating a variety of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, managing chronic pain, addressing sports injuries, and improving balance and mobility, Lindon takes pride in tailoring care to each individual. His goal is to empower patients through effective treatments and personalized plans, helping them regain strength, mobility, and confidence in their daily lives.
